Borderlines Film Festival 2026

43 screenings across 18 Flicks in the Sticks venues…

This festival is made possible by the long-running partnership between Flicks In The Sticks and Borderlines Film Festival. While we bring cinema to rural communities all year round, the festival is a chance to come together and enjoy an extra-wide mix of films over a short period of time.

Over many years, this partnership has helped make sure that people living in rural areas can see a broad range of films locally – from popular favourites to independent and international cinema that you might not otherwise get the chance to see near home. The festival builds on our regular programme and celebrates everything we love about watching films together.

A big thank you to all the venues that host the screenings, and to the volunteers who give their time to welcome audiences and keep things running smoothly. Your support is what makes these screenings possible.

We hope you enjoy this festival as part of our year-round cinema programme. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the film.
