Arts Alive is the rural touring scheme for Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin.
If you are a performing artist, of any genre, looking for an easier way to tour your work – look no further!
We ask all companies looking to tour with us to complete an OPEN DOOR application form, which can be found below:
Complete the application formApplications are made via our programming platform EVENTOTRON.
If you are already registered on Eventotron, just log in and apply to OPEN DOOR – ticking the ‘Application to Arts Alive’ box. If your show is already registered with OPEN DOOR, please check that your information is up to date.
If you are new to Eventotron, you can sign up (for free) and then apply to OPEN DOOR.
OPEN DOOR is a new sector-led initiative enabling artists who have a ready-made show suitable for community touring, to fill out an Expression of Interest form that will then be shared with the wider sector. Even if you are not interested in touring with Arts Alive at this time, you can still apply to OPEN DOOR and your show information will be shareable with our partner Rural Touring schemes.
If you have any questions or queries, please email: touringwith@artsalive.co.uk
We are always looking to support artists and companies who have not toured the network before or not toured for a long time. If you have any access requirements, please get in touch.
Arts Alive is a member organisation of the National Rural Touring Forum (NRTF). Find out more about the NRTF and the wider rural touring network:
HEREA statement about AI-generated materials:
As a rural touring scheme, Arts Alive exists to champion artists and connect audiences with high-quality live performance and cultural experiences. We do not support the use of generative AI to replace or undermine the work of creative practitioners. We share the growing concerns across the cultural sector about AI systems being trained on artists’ work without consent, attribution or fair compensation, and believe that this risks devaluing the skills, livelihoods and intellectual property of those who create.
We also recognise the particular circumstances many rural touring artists and companies work in. Artists often operate on small budgets, with limited time and capacity for marketing and audience development alongside the creative, producing and touring demands of their work. We do not expect artists to have extensive marketing resources or expertise, and we will always seek to work collaboratively with artists to support the promotion of their work. Where required, we are happy to offer practical marketing support, advice and guidance to help artists reach audiences and make the most of their touring opportunities.
We are committed to supporting a vibrant and sustainable creative sector where originality, artistic integrity and human creativity are recognised and rewarded, and where artists are valued not only for the work they create, but for the skills, experience and labour that underpin it.
