HANNAH PRIOR

Hannah Prior B.A, M.A, PgDip is the Artistic Director of Arts Alive, leading the organisation’s work bringing high quality live events and film screenings to rural communities across Shropshire and Herefordshire. Trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, she has a background in theatre-making and a passion for creating and supporting work that feels relevant and accessible to rural audiences.

Hannah has a strong interest in both rural touring and rural cinema, and works closely with artists and local promoters to help make arts experiences possible in village halls and community venues. She’s particularly focused on making it easier for artists to tour and helping audiences connect with high-quality creative work close to home.

Beyond Arts Alive, Hannah is the co-founder of Ignition CIC, a not-for-profit working to improve access to the arts. She currently sits on the boards of the National Rural Touring Forum (NRTF) and Vibrant Shropshire, and is the former Chair of the Culture Consortium Shropshire.

Hannah is a strong advocate for cultural life in rural areas and believes everyone should have the chance to enjoy and take part in the arts, no matter where they live.
