For this show Vo Fletcher returns to his first love; The Blues.
Having grown up in Birmingham at the height of the blues boom, Vo witnessed the blues stars of the day first hand. Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Rory Gallagher, John Mayall and many more. Add to this, many visiting American originators and you begin to get the picture.
In this show you’ll travel from the Mississippi Delta to Chicago, Detroit, Newport the UK and back again. Featuring music from Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, John Lee Hooker plus the popular British heroes of the 60’s. Not forgetting blues popularises like the Rolling Stones, The Animals and The Yardbirds.
Vo Fletcher is a true professional, having played thousands of gigs throughout his career, performing with The Applejacks, Fairport Convention, Rick Wakeman, Ray Jackson (Lindisfarne,) Nigel Kennedy, Donovan, Rik Mayall, Brent Ford & The Nylons to mention a few. He’s also made plenty of appearances on live TV, written TV theme tunes and even worked as a TV presenter.
