An adaptation of Sigrid Nunez’s bestselling 2018 novel, this film follows New York City writer Iris, whose comfortable, solitary life is thrown into disarray when her friend bequeaths her a Great Dane named Apollo. Despite the practical and existential challenges the enormous dog presents, Iris unexpectedly bonds with Apollo and comes to terms with her past and her own creative inner life.
