Taxi Driver (1976) is a neo-noir psychological drama directed by Martin Scorsese, following Travis Bickle (Robert De Niro), a lonely, insomniac Vietnam War veteran working nights in New York City. Disgusted by urban decay, his mental state deteriorates, leading him to plot political assassination.
