I Swear
Set in 1980s and 90s Galashiels, I Swear tells the true story of John Davidson, diagnosed with Tourette syndrome at 15. Targeted as 'insane' by peers, he struggled with Tourette, involving physical and vocal tics, intrusive thoughts, OCD and swearing, and was ridiculed at school and beaten as an adult. Campaigning for better understanding and acceptance, he finds his life's purpose and accepts his MBE in 2019. This film is moving, addresses social issues, a powerful and moving drama.
