Dead Of Night (1945)
Considered one of the few ‘true’ horror films of British cinema’s first half-century, Dead of Night is a supernatural psychological thriller. Architect Walter Craig visits Pilgrim’s Farm to meet a potential client, only to feel he has been there before. Inside, he meets a group of strangely familiar people and reveals he has dreamt about each of them and the events unfolding around them. His account sparks a discussion in which each person recounts a bizarre and unexplained experience.
