Type: Self employed. Zero hours
Shift and schedule: Mostly evenings and weekends, some mid-week afternoons
Rate of Pay: £12 per hour + Travel expenses
Contract: Flicks in the Sticks is a project of Arts Alive and the successful candidate will be under contract with Arts Alive.
Job Description
Arts Alive is looking for a technically minded individual to join our small, friendly Flicks in the Sticks Technician team.
We are looking for someone who works well independently and as part of a team, who can keep themselves motivated and is interested in developing relationships with our promoters and audiences alike, acting as an ambassador for Arts Alive and Flicks in the Sticks.
Job Role
You will be an active member of our technician team, playing a pivotal role in delivering film events across north Shropshire and the surrounding areas.
You will be expected to uphold the highest standards of technical presentation for screenings, while maintaining a keen awareness of health and safety regulations.
About You
Experience with AV equipment is not essential, but an understanding would be beneficial. Training will be given.
Flexibility is key; you'll need to be prepared to work flexible hours which are mainly evenings, during the week and at weekends.
Own transport is essential, as is a clean driving licence.
Essential attributes: organised, inclusive, collaborative, patient, understanding, versatile, flexible and a good sense of humour!
You’ll sometimes be handling heavy equipment, so good physical health is important.
You’ll be working with technology, which means sometimes things go wrong - keeping a cool head under pressure is vital.
