The Italian Job (1969) (PG)

Director Peter Collinson. Action/Comedy/Crime

Charlie's got a 'Job' to do. Having just left prison, he finds one of his friends has attempted a high risk job in Italy right under the nose of the Mafia. Charlie's friend doesn't get very far so Charlie takes over the 'Job'. Using three Mini Coopers, a couple of Jaguars and a bus, he hopes to bring Torino to a standstill, steal the Gold and escape. Contains the legendary, and much-pastiched, Mini Cooper chase sequence.

Starring Michael Caine, Noel Coward and Benny Hill

Flicks Advisor (comments from our film promoters)

We used the 40th anniversary digitally remastered bluray version which had enhanced sound and picture. We provided an Italian supper, wines and decor and with good publicity through local magazines and papers. We had an excellent audience and a wonderful evening, although the film was dated and #metoo movement was then un thought of, everybody (nearly all over 60 years of age) thoroughly enjoyed it.

Brilliant classic movie. A good village hall flick.

Well worth showing, this was a widescreen version ans sound was very clear, even to blowing .....
