Can You Ever Forgive Me (15)

Director Marielle Heller. Biography/Comedy/Crime

Lee Israel made her living in the 1970's and 80's profiling the likes of Katharine Hepburn, Tallulah Bankhead, Estee Lauder and journalist Dorothy Kilgallen. When Lee is no longer able to get published because she has fallen out of step with current tastes, she turns her art form to deception, abetted by her loyal friend Jack. An adaptation of the memoir "CAN YOU EVER FORGIVE ME?" relays the true story of the best-selling celebrity biographer (and friend to cats).

Starring Melissa McCarthy and Richard E. Grant

Flicks Advisor (comments from our film promoters)

Much enjoyed, excellent acting and liked the fact it was based on a true story.

Thought Provoking

The two wonderfully absorbing main characters held one's total interest. It was the true human side that was most appealing especially Lee's closing scene. Great acting.
