Carousel: A Herefordshire Life Through a Lens film (U)

Following audience favourites ‘Stories from the Hop Yards’ and ‘Chewing the Cud’, this new Catcher Media film delves deep into the Derek Evans photographic archive from the 1950s-1970s to explore the county’s enduring memories of the May Fair, Hereford United FC, Derek’s Studio, music, rural life, childhood, Fownhope Heart of Oak Walk, and much, much more. “Spellbinding from start to finish” “The people telling their stories were utterly engaging and charming” “Funny, moving and enlightening and the photography is fantastic. What a brilliant resource, linking us to the past of Herefordshire

Flicks Advisor (comments from our film promoters)

Fascinating insight into Hereford in the 60s/70s from a prolific and talented photographer. Lovely footage of Fownhope celebrations.

Really worth doing. Music a little loud compared to the speech. Quite strident. Wonderful atmosphere.

An interesting film about Herefordshire and a look at Derek's archives.
