Flicks Advisor (comments from our film promoters)

A well-made, fast-moving gothic murder mystery set in Victorian London with a complex and clever plot that keeps Inspector Kildaire (Nighy) - and the audience - confused and guessing right up to the double-denouement end. Violence and sex scenes essential to the plot are not overdone, but probably at the top end for a 15 certificate; not a film for persons of a nervous disposition.

Very atmospheric capturing the feel of London by gaslight. Gory in places but entertaining.
