Flicks Advisor (comments from our film promoters)

Beautifully paced, deeply moving story of a relationship between a Frenchman and a German family in the immediate aftermath of the First World War.

Well received. Many thought the film was from the fifties, but it was actually made in 2016. The main actors were superb in their roles, with sympathies shifting subtly throughout the narrative. Production and camera work were powerful, with colour being used in happier moments only.
