Discovered in the Shropshire Archives, a book of letters sent during 1917-1920 between a group of six young Shropshire women reveals their everyday lives as farmers, office workers, factory hands, nurses and teachers. This document has directly inspired and informed this show. There is gossip and hint of scandal, reprimands and reprisals, tales of dancing for royalty, fiancés on the frontline and how to feed 100 chickens while on rations. Warm and witty story telling combining character, live music and a touch of cabaret. Adults and teenagers.
