Persepolis (15)


The story follows a young girl as she comes of age against the backdrop of the Iranian Revolution. The story ends with Marjane as a 21-year-old expatriate. The title is a reference to the historic city of Persepolis. The film won the Jury Prize at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival

Fascinating insight into life in Iran, but very much able to relate to general struggles of a girl growing up who doesn't quiet fit in or want to conform. Great animation, visually amazing.
