Untouchable (15)

Directors Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano. French Biography/Comedy/Drama

(Also known as The Intouchables) The second most successful film of all time at France’s box office, Untouchable charts an unlikely friendship between wealthy, middle-aged tetraplegic Philippe and poverty-stricken Driss, that starts when Driss is hired as Philippe’s live-in carer. Expanding each other’s horizons, they show each other that there are different ways to live. It’s a heartening sign that this moving film has done so well in France, where the divide between rich and ghettoised poor in the banlieu is often pronounced.

Starring François Cluzet, Omar Sy and Anne Le Ny

This is a wonderful film and was hugely enjoyed by everyone. Very funny but at the same time a beautiful and moving portrayal of the development of a most unlikely relationship.

Had quite a buzz - people knew about it in advance and came to see it a second time.

Brilliant Film. the best we have shown todate. Audience reaction was fantastic. Great evening, shame we did not get a bigger audience.
